This is 210 Lewis Drive in Geneva. Eleanor Annie Peters Sparks boarded here for a time in the mid 1890's. The house
was owned by a man named Matthew Middlewood. I wonder which room she stayed in?
This is the Andersen house on 498 Castle St in Geneva. Albert and Emma Sparks Andersen lived here. By 1901 Emma's mother, Eleanor Sparks was living here as well. The front of the property is very large, and this was a rather affluent neighbourhood.

This is 51 East North Street. The home was occupied by Mary E Sparks and Robert Bagshaw from about 1904 until they moved to Waterloo. Except for the removal of the front porch, and a change to the front window, the house is remarkably similar to what it looked like all those years ago. I hope to have a picture in here of that soon.
This is 83 North Genessee in Geneva. The house was listed as belonging to Hannah Hillman Sparks. She took in boarders - one of them being her daughter, Mary's future husband, Robert Bagshaw.

This is Avenue B in Geneva, it is right around the corner from 83 North Genessee. Archie and Bertha Sparks McLean lived here for a time at number 18. the trouble is, there IS not number 18. There is also no place to put a house in between these houses which are obviously original. SO I am wondering if 18 was part of another house. I know that houses were not renumbered after the mid 1890's ... unless this street was one of the exceptions. I choose the green house as number 18. Who will argue with me?

This is Dove Farm just north of Geneva. Well, actually it's the farmHOUSE. Eleazer and Mary Ann Sparks Crandall moved here from Oaks Corners. They rented the house and land and farmed it. Eleazer died here. After he did, the family moved into town
We happened to pull up just as the man who owns it was getting home from work. He verified that it was, indeed, Dove Farm, and allowed me to take pictures. He told me of the ruins of the barn in the back and said I could go and take pictures. Below you can see a bit of the remaining barn foundation. I pictured Eleazer coming out here. The actual barn was quite large. The Dove family owned a huge amount of land up this side of 14 which was called The Lyon Road.

The two images below are the same house - 417 West Main St in Waterloo. This house belonged to Mary Sparks and Robert Samuel Bagshaw. I am hoping to get a copy of a pic of them with Henry and Hannah outside. The angle is about the same as the one below left. You can see the spot in the lawn where a large tree was at the time the picture was taken way back when. Henry and Hannah moved into the house and later a young Mary Helen Hall moved in as well.
