Historical Societies, Archives and Libraries.
Travelling around, I have found that some places are MUCH better to visit than others if you want good information and knowledgable help. And, quite frankly, a little "YAY FOR YOU" now and again really makes the trip worth while. Natuarally, my information for most of you will be limited or useless, because, let's face it, we aren't ALL looking in Geneva, New York, or Bruce County, Ontario, or Port Huron, Michigan. My hope is, that maybe what I've found in my searches will help you better locate what YOU need. And please, by ALL means, if you have a place you find very helpful, send me the information. I'll write it up in here and say that YOU said it was a great place, or a terrible place to get information. The idea for this page is that it is the lead in page for other individual pages talking about what they have to offer. If it seems convoluted, give it a look and you'll find it's not so difficult.
I would like to thank my beautiful and talented friend Shirley Blundell of B.C. for this gorgeous fractal image background.
